TTS Marine ASA has now established an organization which, among other, will be focusing on large anchor handling/towing winches. This will be done through the company TTS Offshore Handling Equipment AS (TTS-OHE) which has main office in Ålesund. The company has recently opened a regional office at Os, outside of Bergen, where all competence within anchor handling winches is located. TTS-OHE can already now offer large anchor handling/towing winches to clients all over the world.
The main office in Ålesund will develop and produce all control systems for these winches and the office at Os will be handling the mechanical and hydraulic construction. TTS-OHE will in the next months expand the organization with several new employees.
TTS-OHE is already strongly involved in the winch marked with advanced active heave compensated subsea winches. This kind of winch operates on depths down to 3000 meters and is delivered with ”state of the art” control systems. The companies subsea winches operates with speeds much larger than the anchor handling/towing winches and the company is very pleased that they have managed to get hold of people with competence within both of these winch products.

Through TTS we can offer our clients a strong organization which can secure both the delivery of advanced anchor handling/towing winches together with a world wide service organization which secures our clients at operational time of the equipment” says sales manager Sverre Mowinckel-Nilsen in TTS Offshore Handling Equipment AS.
TTS-OHE will now be offering winches in the range of up to 600 tonnes with a long range of equipment possibilities. The company will deliver the winches with high pressure (HP) hydraulic drift. The HP hydraulic is getting more and more accepted by both shipyards and shipowners even though the Low Pressure (LP) hydraulic has been the most wanted solution for this kind of winches.
